Celebrate the best of short films at this year's ISFC!

The Forum on Life, Culture, and Society (FOLCS) invites you to attend the Awards Night for our 11th Annual International Short Film Competition on April 25, 2024. Held in the cinematic heart of New York City at the New York Film Academy, the ISFC Awards Night highlights the enduring power of film to challenge, enlighten, and inspire communities around the world. Join us to celebrate global storytelling and artistic excellence through an evening filled with creativity, cultural diversity, and a communal appreciation of the power of film to inspire social change.

Event Highlights

Free Admission: Join us for a night of cinematic excellence at no cost. Engage with some of the world's most pressing social justice and human rights themes, conveyed through the work of talented upcoming filmmakers.

Red Carpet, Reception, & Live Music: Start the night with flair! Walk the red carpet and capture the moment in a glamorous photo shoot with friends and family. Enjoy a lively reception featuring live music that sets the perfect ambiance. Savor a selection of gourmet foods & drinks and mingle with filmmakers, legal professionals, activists, and fellow film enthusiasts, all while enjoying the melodies of our live music.

Screening of Finalist Films: Be among the first to view a few of this year's finalist short films. These films have been thoughtfully selected for their unique perspectives on pressing global issues. They showcase the rich and diverse fabric of human experience while asking powerful questions about justice, survival, and community. Audience members will have the chance to vote on which short film will receive the Audience Favorite Award.

Post-Screening Discussion: In keeping with FOLCS Film Series tradition, engage in insightful post-screening discussions with the finalist filmmakers.

Awards Presentation: Conclude the evening with our Awards Presentation, where we honor the most outstanding films of the festival. Celebrate the achievements of these visionary filmmakers as we announce the winners, including the much-anticipated Audience Favorite Award.

About the FOLCS ISFC

The International Short Film Competition encourages and showcases the creation of short films exploring themes of justice, human rights, and the law by independent, emerging filmmakers worldwide. Finalist films are screened at the FOLCS Annual Awards Night.
